This was my entry into the King Valley Art Show. It won the ‘Local Artist’ award. The technique is used by Anita Laurence , where paint is applied to a simple woodblock and then printed onto the paper. This is done many times to build up layers of paint gradually.
These are trees outside our flat in London.
My second entry in the Linden Postcard prize. Inspired by native grasses in the Warby Ranges. I was fascinated by the patterns created by layers of different grasses, they remind me of listening to polyphonic compositions at jazz school – layers of rhythmic sound patterns overlaying and gradually changing.
