I have a new gallery of woodcut prints. They’re based on sketches I made during my time at Jazz School. You can read more on the Jazz School page.
These are experiments of creating monotype prints with found objects. Rather than drawing or painting a design, these are created by applying ink to the plate and/or objects, or using the object’s natural pigment in the case of the hundreds and thousands.
Our first semester in printmaking ended with woodcut printing and German Expressionism. This is what I came up with.
